IELTS Grammar for Speaking

IELTS Speaking টেস্টে Band 7+ পেতে হলে Grammatical Range and Accuracy (GRA) ক্যাটাগরিতে ভালো করা অত্যন্ত জরুরি, যা আপনার মোট স্কোরের ২৫% বহন করে। অনেক Bangladeshi students ফ্লুয়েন্টলি কথা বলতে পারলেও গ্রামাটিক্যাল ভ্যারাইটি এবং একিউরেসির অভাবে Band 6 বা 6.5-এ আটকে যান। নিচে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ গ্রামার রুলস এবং কমন মিসটেকগুলো তুলে ধরা হলো:

১. Complex Sentences ব্যবহার করা (Band 7+ Requirement)#

শুধু Simple Sentence (যেমন: I live in Dhaka. It is very crowded.) দিয়ে কথা বললে হাই ব্যান্ড পাওয়া সম্ভব নয়। এর বদলে Conjunctions (Although, Even though, Since, Because, While) ব্যবহার করে Complex Sentences তৈরি করুন।

• Simple: I work long hours. I always spend time with my family on weekends.
• Complex: Even though I have a hectic work schedule during the weekdays, I always make sure to spend quality time with my family on weekends.

২. Conditionals-এর স্মার্ট ব্যবহার#

Speaking Part 2 এবং Part 3-এ হাইপোথেটিকাল বা কাল্পনিক প্রশ্নের উত্তর দিতে Conditionals চমৎকার ভূমিকা রাখে:

• Second Conditional (কাল্পনিক পরিস্থিতি):
• Structure: If + Past Simple, would + base verb
• Example: If I had enough money and free time, I would definitely purchase a farmhouse in Sylhet.
• Third Conditional (অতীতের কোনো আফসোস বা ভিন্ন ফলাফল):
• Structure: If + Past Perfect, would have + V3
• Example: If I hadn’t moved to Dhaka for my higher studies, I wouldn’t have met such inspiring mentors.

৩. Modal Verbs দিয়ে Speculation (অনুমান) করা#

Part 3-এর abstract প্রশ্নগুলোতে নিশ্চিত না হয়ে অনুমানমূলক উত্তর দিতে Modals ব্যবহার করুন:

• Direct statement পরিহার করুন: "Air pollution will destroy Dhaka."
• Modals ব্যবহার করুন: "If strict measures are not implemented immediately, air pollution might significantly worsen public health in Dhaka."
• Useful Modals: could, might, tends to, is likely to.

৪. বাংলাদেশি শিক্ষার্থীদের সবচেয়ে কমন ৩টি ভুল (Avoid these):#

• ১.Past Tense Consistency (Part 2 Cue Card):

• অনেকেই Past Tense-এ গল্প শুরু করে হঠাৎ Present Tense-এ চলে যান। যেমন: "Last year I went to Cox's Bazar and I see many people..." (ভুল)
• সঠিক: "Last year I went to Cox's Bazar and I saw many people..."

• ২.Subject-Verb Agreement & Plurals:

• People is নয়, সবসময় People are।
• Every students নয়, Every student।

• ৩.Unnecessary Prepositions:

• Discuss about নয়, শুধু Discuss (e.g., "We discussed the problem").
• Go to home নয়, Go home।

প্র্যাকটিস টিপ:#

রোজ আয়নার সামনে দাঁড়িয়ে বা স্মার্টফোনে রেকর্ডার অন করে ২ মিনিট কথা বলুন। এরপর নিজের রেকর্ডিং শুনে Past Tense এবং S/ES-এর ভুলগুলো নোট করুন।
