Right Form of Verbs হলো SSC, HSC এবং University Admission Test-এর জন্য most critical একটি grammar topic। নিচে most important rules গুলো সহজ ভাষায় আলোচনা করা হলো:

• 1.Subject-Verb Agreement (The 'As well as / Along with' Rule):

• Rule: Subject-এর সাথে যদি 'as well as', 'with', 'along with', 'together with', 'accompanied by', 'in addition to' থাকে, তবে verb সর্বদা 1st Subject অনুযায়ী নির্ধারিত হয় (2nd Subject অনুযায়ী নয়)।
• Example:
• Incorrect: The teacher along with his students are present.
• Correct: The teacher along with his students is present.

• 2.'Neither... nor' / 'Either... or' Rule:

• Rule: 'Either... or' বা 'Neither... nor' যুক্ত বাক্যে verb সর্বদা nearest subject (পরের subject) অনুযায়ী বসে।
• Example:
• Neither Rahim nor his friends have done the work.
• Either you or he is responsible.

• 3.'One of the' Rule:

• Structure: One of + Plural Noun + Singular Verb
• Example:
• One of my best friends is a doctor. (friends plural হলেও subject হলো 'One', তাই verb singular হবে)।

• 4.Conditional Sentences (High-Yield):

• 1st Conditional: If + Present Indefinite -> Future Indefinite (e.g., If you study hard, you will pass).
• 2nd Conditional: If + Past Indefinite -> Subject + would/could/might + V1 (e.g., If he came, I would go).
• 3rd Conditional: If + Past Perfect -> Subject + would have/could have + V3 (e.g., If you had informed me, I would have helped you).

• 5.'Lest' Clause:

• Rule: বাক্যে 'lest' থাকলে তার পরের clause-এ 'should' (অথবা rarely 'might') + Verb-এর base form বসে। Negative word (not) ব্যবহার করা যায় না।
• Example:
• Walk fast lest you should miss the train.

• 6.No sooner had ... than / Scarcely had ... when:

• Structure: No sooner had + Subject + V3 ... than + Subject + V2 (Past Indefinite).
• Example:
• No sooner had the police arrived than the thief ran away.

Quick Tip for Bangladeshi Board & Admission Exams: Board exams-এ tense consistency এবং voice (active vs passive) খেয়াল রাখা অত্যন্ত জরুরি। Subject নিজে কাজটি করছে কি না, সেটি check করে verb active বা passive ফর্মে বসাতে হবে।
