Past Perfect Tense (বাংলায় সহজ পাঠ)#

Past Perfect Tense সাধারণত তখন ব্যবহার করা হয় যখন অতীতে ঘটে যাওয়া দুটি কাজের মধ্যে একটি কাজ অন্যটির আগে শেষ হয়েছিল।

• যে কাজটি আগে হয়েছিল ➔ Past Perfect Tense
• যে কাজটি পরে হয়েছিল ➔ Simple Past / Past Indefinite Tense

১. Structure (গঠন):#

Subject + had + Verb-এর Past Participle (V3) + Object / Extension

Note: Subject Singular হোক বা Plural, সবার সাথেই 'had' বসবে।

২. 'Before' এবং 'After' এর ম্যাজিক রুল:#

আমাদের স্কুলের গ্রামারের সবচেয়ে জনপ্রিয় নিয়মটি মনে রাখার সহজ উপায়:

• 1.Before (পূর্বে): Past Perfect বসবে 'before' এর আগে (পূর্বে)।

• Structure: Past Perfect + before + Past Indefinite
• Example: The patient had died before the doctor came. (ডাক্তার আসার আগেই রোগী মারা গিয়েছিল।)

• 2.After (পরে): Past Perfect বসবে 'after' এর পরে।

• Structure: Past Indefinite + after + Past Perfect
• Example: The doctor came after the patient had died. (রোগী মারা যাওয়ার পর ডাক্তার এসেছিল।)

৩. দৈনন্দিন জীবনের কিছু বাস্তব Examples:#

• Train মিস করার গল্প:
• "The train had left before we reached the station." (আমরা স্টেশনে পৌঁছানোর আগেই ট্রেন ছেড়ে দিয়েছিল।)

• পড়াশোনা বা কাজের হিসাব:
• "I had finished my assignment before the electricity went off." (লোডশেডিং হওয়ার আগেই আমি অ্যাসাইনমেন্ট শেষ করেছিলাম।)

• আড্ডা বা মিটিং:
• "They started the meeting after the boss had arrived." (বস আসার পর তারা মিটিং শুরু করেছিল।)

৪. কমন ভুল (Common Mistakes):#

❌ ভুল: I had went to market before he came. ✔ সঠিক: I had gone to market before he came. (had এর পর সবসময় V3 বসবে)

❌ ভুল: The movie started before we had entered the hall. ✔ সঠিক: The movie had started before we entered the hall. (সিনেমা আগে শুরু হয়েছিল, তাই movie-র সাথে had started বসবে)

• 1.বৃষ্টি শুরু হওয়ার পূর্বে আমরা বাসায় পৌঁছেছিলাম।

➔ We had reached home before it started to rain.

• 2.সে নাস্তা করার পর স্কুলে গিয়েছিল।

➔ He went to school after he had taken his breakfast.
